Perseverance is finally out. I first caught wind of this album back in '03 or '04. I couldn't begin to explain how or why it took so long to drop. Could it have something to do with this song? I can't imagine what would be involved in clearing a Contra sample. There's no telling what kind of hoops Stones Throw had to jump through. But have no fear—the album has arrived. It does sound a tad dated, but the talent makes up for it.
